As we approach the end of 2023, we reflect on the incredible journey we've undertaken together. At Code to Inspire, we have a vision – empower Afghan women and girls through technology education. This vision has guided us through the challenges of the past year, and we could not have transformed lives and made a meaningful impact without your unwavering support.
2023 has been a year of great resilience and adaptability. In the face of unprecedented challenges, we have shifted our operations online to ensure our students continue to learn and thrive.
Through your generosity, we were able to provide laptops and internet access to students who lacked the available resources, ensuring that not one girl was left behind. Despite these hurdles, our students achieved remarkable success, secured jobs, and contributed to their families and communities.
2023: The Past Year of Resilience and Adaptability
In Afghanistan, women and girls face the unique and distressing reality of being denied access to education. Despite these challenging circumstances, we forged ahead by announcing a new cohort for graphic design and coding. From a pool of 400 applications, we carefully selected the top 250 students and commenced a year of virtual classes, determined to make a difference.
2024: The Coming Year of Building Bridges and Breaking Barriers.
Our graduates are not just learners; they are change-makers. They have found meaningful employment opportunities, both within Afghanistan and through remote work, earning salaries that exceed the national average. Your support has not only opened doors for these young women but has also paved the way for gender equality and empowerment in a country where these opportunities are often scarce.
We are thrilled to share that we have recently launched a new cohort for graphic design, UX/UI, and motion animation classes. In just one week, we received an overwhelming response of 1,242 applications. We are fully committed to offering quality education to every eligible applicant who can embark on our one-year educational journey.
